If you are a new patient we would like to welcome you to the practice. If you are already registered with us we hope that this booklet will help you to make the best use of our facilities. We aim to provide high quality medical care, encourage good health and prevent disease and help you to make decisions about your own health.
Please let us know as soon as possible of any changes to your name, address and telephone number. If you move outside the practice area, it will be necessary to register with another doctor.

Practice Staff

All our staff are here to give you help in complete confidence.

Practice Manager

Carole Robinson is responsible for the day-to-day running of the practice. She is available during office hours to answer any queries on the running of the practice. Telephone 01482 344111

The Practice Nurses

We have three practice nurses and two health care assistants. The nursing team offer a comprehensive coronary heart disease prevention programme, including advice on smoking cessation, alcohol consumption, dietary advice, weight reduction, child and travel immunisations and cervical smears. In addition there are clinics for blood pressure monitoring, healthy heart, asthma, respiratory, diabetes, ECGs and monitoring on certain medications, wound dressing and stitches removal. The practice nurses carry out all of these services and more. To make an appointment between 8.30am and 6.00pm please ring 344100 or 344101.

Practice Secretaries

The secretaries support the doctors and will be able to assist with queries in respect of referral to other services, and liaising with patients and the doctors. Telephone: 01482 344110 between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm each day.

Receptionists

Our receptionists aim to help you get the most out of the services offered at the practice. In addition to delivering a first class “front of house service”, they assist with making appointments and informing you of test results. Feel free to ask them any questions. They may need to ask you for some information about your problem in order to help you. Please be assured that the receptionists work under a strict code of confidentiality.

Medical Students

The practice has been selected by Hull York Medical School to teach new medical students. On the days that the students come into the practice, there may be one or two sitting in with the doctor you are seeing. If this is the case the receptionist will ask you if you are happy with this arrangement. Your care will not be affected if you decline to have a student present.
